We had a fun afternoon today. After stake conference (which is over by the time we regularly start church) we went to visit some friends for a cookout and fun afternoon visiting. There isn't a lot to tell about, since most of it was talking and eating, but we had a most lovely time.
And I was very inspired at how they used every inch of their tiny little yard to plant things. Strawberries along the narrow border next to the sidewalk around the side of the house, fruit trees espaliered across the back fence, tomatoes against the house. Even the dirt around the posts holding up the porch roof had herbs planted in it. I feel like I need to do a better job at using the space in my yard. We're not using it anywhere near as well as we could. In fact, in a lot of places, we're not using it at all. And we need to get the watering lines down. Time to get on the ball.
