They had the no swimming signs up again, so we went to the pool.
We tried some local Chinese food for dinner. It was really good. It was pretty similar to the food we get at home, but it was in plastic deli containers instead of little Chinese food boxes. I don't know that you'd call it authentically Chinese, but it was really tasty. John ordered the medium pork fried rice, and came home with a half gallon container of it. And there was a bigger, gallon size available. That's a lot of fried rice.
We had two different kinds of chicken (orange chicken and pollo enchilado), some pepper beef, egg rolls (so good), chow mein con camarones (shrimp), some stir fry veggies and the pork fried rice. John said that all the combos came with french fries. And they sold KFC-style fried chicken.
No fortune cookies and no chopsticks.
Lots of leftovers!
Fried chicken is a Chinese staple.
ReplyDeleteI'm not kidding, it really is.
So that part was authentic at least.
