High Expectations

So, every morning after we drop Sam off at school, we drive past the crosswalks with the crossing guard, who just happens to be the school librarian. It is the highlight of Ruby's morning to wave to Mrs. N. and blow kisses back and forth. Last week Mrs. N. was not there, and Mrs. S. was filling in.

The first day that Mrs. S. was out there, Ruby waved and Mrs. S. waved back, and Ruby said, "Well, that was different!"

This morning Mrs. N. was back and all was right with the world.

  1. Oh I could just smother her with kisses (Ruby, not Mrs. N). Where did you get all those cute kids?

And I have to ask if there is any significance to the name Robert Christopher. Is there?

  2. Only that it's to honor Critter. Robert is meaningless.
