Well, Schnuters got the ball rolling and got his family to decide on a place for the family reunion next summer. Brian Head, Utah. We went on a ski vacation there in March of this year and we had a great time (after the altitude sickness wore off). After getting some information on summer activities, we thought it would be a great place for a family reunion.
Brian Head is located near Cedar City, and it's right in the middle of all of the National Parks down there. It has the highest base altitude of any ski resort in the U.S. It's at around 9000 feet. That's at the bottom of the ski hills. After you head up, it's much higher. There are so many things to do in the summer around there. I don't know how many of them we'll actually get to do, because when we were there, I could barely breathe, so I'm thinking there won't be much hiking or biking or whatever going on.
It should be a fun time. As long as no one gets sick.
